Westmark Hotel:   This year’s JKASP conference is being held in Fairbanks, Alaska, during the city’s peak travel time.   If you have already registered for the conference, we suggest that you book your lodging stay as soon as possible (prior to May 15).    The conference hotel is the Westmark Hotel located in downtown Fairbanks - walking distance to several restaurants and visitor activities.    We have a block of double rooms available for a price of $129 per night-plus tax, considerably less than you will find in town.  Please call 1-800-WESTMARK, to reserve space now.  Be sure to note the Group Code UAF LAVA in order to receive the special rate.   Conference shuttle service has been arranged to/from UAF Geophysical Institute.  


UAF Conference Services:  Limited guest accommodations are available in our traditional-style dormitories through UAF Conference Services.  If you have already registered for the conference, we suggest that you book your lodging stay as soon as possible (prior to May 10).   We have a block of double rooms available for a price of $66 per night-plus tax.    Please call (907) 474-6769, or visit the on-line website:    www.uaf.edu/reslife/guest/, to reserve your space now.  Be sure to note the Affiliation Code JKASP in order to receive the special rate.   Please note however, that on-campus services for meals have restricted hours and there is limited services off-campus within walking distance.

Local Transportation

JKASP Conference organizers have arranged for First Student to shuttle conference attendees from their hotel to the events each day.   The current bus schedule can be found here, or you can obtain a copy when you check in at the conference.

Transportation to Fairbanks, Alaska
