Welcome to the GI Geodesy internal page

This internal page is based on a wiki, which is a web-based system for creating collaborative content. We can all edit the content on this site. The particular wiki engine used here is MediaWiki, which is the engine used for Wikipedia, the multi-lingual free encyclopedia. Once it is fully set up, a username and password will be required to edit content, although others can browse it.

For more information on how this works, see http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_User's_Guide

If all goes according to plan, all of us will contribute useful information to this site, which will then become a useful reference for the rest of us.

One quick set up note: links shown in Red are links to non-existent pages (add some content there!). Links shown in blue are to existing pages. This is all in the early stages of construction. -- Jeff Freymueller, 10/3/2005.

GPS Fieldwork

A simple guide to GPS fieldwork, from finding site information to setting up the receiver and antenna, and converting data files to rinex format.

Working with the Geodesy Lab linux computer system

General information about our Linux Computer System can be found here.

The WHOS data analysis list

The WHOS list keeps track of which GPS weeks are assigned to which people.

GPS Data Analysis

We use the GIPSY software for GPS data analysis. Jeff Freymueller has written a set of scripts around GIPSY that automate data acquisition and much of the data analysis tasks. Documentation for the GPS analysis system is under construction here.

InSAR software

We have the ROI_PAC software installed. More information will follow.

subversion -- versioning of all sorts of things

The subversion page gives an overview on how you can make your project publicly accessible using subversion. Subversion will also help you to keep track of the changes you made to this project.

What to do, if you are new here

This is a loose, very likely incomplete list of keywords you should make sure you have heard about, dealed and by some time get familiarized with. Please add necessary things!
